Naturally rich in unsaturated fatty acids
Produced exclusively from Premium Franquette Nuts, Gascony Nut Oil is naturally rich in unsaturated fatty acids, including two essential fatty acids for the body: linoleic acid, Omega 6 for about 60% and alpha-linolenic acid, Omega 3 for about 15%.
The nuts are harvested at the beginning of October and undergo a light drying operation in order to reduce their moisture content to around 12%. This action allows the fruit to preserve all its nutritional and taste qualities.
A concentrate of omega 6
Virgin walnut oil is one of the richest in the Omega 6 range, with a concentration of 50% to 60% linoleic acid.
In combination with Omega 3, Omega 6 has a recognized beneficial role in preventing cardiovascular disease and bad cholesterol levels. The ratio recommended by ANSES (National Agency for Sanitary Safety of Food, Environment and Labor) is 5 molecules of omega 6 for 1 omega 3.
Wealth in Omega 9 and 3
Virgin walnut oil is also rich in omega 3 and 9 with a composition of omega 3 up to 15% and omega 9 up to 20%.
